Head's Welcome

I would like to welcome you to Brynmawr Foundation School.

It is with enormous pride that I take on the role of Headteacher at our wonderful school. While this is a new position for me, I am certainly not new to Brynmawr Foundation School. Having served as Deputy Headteacher for the past seven years, I have been privileged to work alongside our dedicated staff, talented pupils, supportive families and wider community to help shape the continued success of our school.

During my time at Brynmawr Foundation School, I have seen first-hand the commitment that exists across our school community to ensure that every pupil receives the very best education, the highest levels of care and support and the opportunities they need to thrive both academically and personally. I am honoured to continue this work as Headteacher and to lead a school that is ambitious for every learner.

As a community school, we pride ourselves on knowing our pupils well and working closely with parents, carers and partners to provide the very best opportunities for every child. Together, we share a commitment to ensuring that each pupil leaves us equipped with the knowledge, skills and values needed for a successful future.

Our school continues to go from strength to strength. We are proud of the excellent achievements of our pupils, the improving outcomes they attain and the many successes they enjoy both within and beyond the classroom. We continue to invest in our facilities and learning environment, including the recent refurbishment of our science laboratories, ensuring that pupils benefit from high-quality resources and exceptional learning experiences.
