    Before Exams

    • Check your individual timetable for correct subjects, tiers, and personal details (name, DOB).
    • Your candidate number will be provided and displayed on your exam desk.
    • The school’s GCSE timetable will be posted online before each session.
    • Ensure the school has your current contact information.
    • Bring correct equipment (black pens, pencils, maths instruments) in a clear pencil case.

    During Exams

    • Read the Notice to Candidates carefully—breaches may lead to disqualification.
    • Most exams are in the Boys’ Gym; check noticeboards for updates.
    • Line-up will be in the girls gym/canteen before entering the examination hall.
    • Wear full school uniform.
    • No mobile phones, smart watches, or electronic devices in the exam room.
    • Water only in clear bottles (labels removed); no food unless pre-approved for medical requirements.
    • Listen to invigilators and follow instructions.
    • Candidates must not leave for at least one hour after the published exam start time.
    • If finished, use any remaining time to check answers silently.
    • In case of alarms, follow invigilator instructions calmly.
    • Pupils with access arrangements will be informed in advance.

    After Exams

    • Invigilators will collect papers before you leave.
    • Leave quietly - others may still be working.
    • Do not remove question papers or answer books.

    Absence

    • Attend all exams; missed exams may incur charges.
    • If problems arise, contact school before 8:15am.
    • For illness or emergencies, provide evidence promptly for special consideration.
    • Misreading the timetable is not an acceptable reason for absence.
    • Arrive 15 minutes before start time.

    Results

    • Results day will be published on the website and in your timetable pack.
    • To authorise someone else to collect results or have them posted, submit the form and a stamped envelope to Mrs Phillips before exams end.
    • Results will not be given by phone.
