CAT Testing
Each academic year we enter selected year groups for CAT (Cognitive Ability Test) testing. These tests are designed to look at how we think as opposed to what we know, therefore these tests do not require preparation however every effort must be taken when answering the questions.
This year we are CAT testing all pupils in Years 7 to 10 as our testing cycle was interrupted over the COVID period.
The information from these CAT tests will be used in many ways including:
- Identifying specific intervention needs of individual pupils and groups of pupils
- Informing teacher planning to ensure pupils make good progress
- Informing Target setting
- Gaining valuable insight into pupil learning styles
